hey hey everyone!

no pictures today. using another computer you see! oh well.. make up for it soon! HAHA.

I'VE BEEN ENJOYING MYSELF IN MI. really. because it's orientation. the first few days were a bit you know, ~ ! HAH. obviously, because i knew somehow, nobody! yes, believe me, i was somehow another person for the first few days. I WAS NOT SOCIALBLE AT ALL. haha. but, after a few days, on Wednesday or something, i got my new name "DAVID". and then, everyone called me DAVID. so somehow, i'm basically known as DAVID in MI! and then, i got a valentine's day date because of that? it's my OGL, Nay. HAH! it's so, embarrassing! HAHA. so the days of ORIENTATION was INCREDIBLE! (i would retain to go through it again, BUT THERE'S NO POINT! it'll all be different people then) OH I FORGOT TO TELL YOU MY OG NAME! IT'S ROMAN 3! it's kind of like the best group i've ever been in! HAHA. ROMANS WOO! made new friends and had more fun!

the emphasis should be on today right? YUP, sadly, it's the last day of orientation. AWWWWWWW.. morning was talks talks and more talks. then it was lunch. went and rushed to get the preparations for the present LIKE CRAZY! then rushed back to school at 2PM for the CCA day. (OH YEAH! SORRY TO MY DEAREST ST JOHN PEOPLE! I DIDN'T WENT DOWN TODAY! I HAD SCHOOL! HEARD YOU ALL HAD LIKE QUITE A PROBLEM THERE EH? I'M SO SORRY MAN! SINCERE APOLOGIES! SEE YOU ALL SOON!) mm hmm. so after that, walked around the school to look at CCAs. quite amazing man. THERE'RE REALLY A LARGE VARIETY OF CCAS you can pick from. after the CCA day, it was dinner. apparantly, the food was spoilt. HAH. then our present for our OGLs were not done. SO SOME PEOPLE. INCLUDING ME, DUH? to do it. and we were like OMG! OMG! QUICK! QUICK! haha. yeah, you can imagine everything uhh. the main problem was that, we were outside a toilet! HAHA! after that, we gathered back to the hall for the FINALE!! we performed and performed. after that, because the food was spoilt (remember?) so they had something like MAKE-UP food. so dinner again and then (drum rolls.....) MYSTERY GAME! haha. it was about early evening like 7PM or later at that time. and it was quite dark. duh? so the game was like we're suppose to find the murderer and walk around the DARK school! OF COURSE, THERE WER MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF SCREECHING AND SCREAMING! haha. the seniors were suppose to act like ghosts. MM. IT WAS QUITE SCARY REALLY! haha. wa can scream your lungs out man! SCARY SCARY! and after the whole scary incident, THE WHOLE DAY ENDED WITH THE MI DANCE. yes, it was FUN! haha. because this time round, it was FREE-FOR-ALL! no need to boy-girl. HAHA! so yup! and then ROMAN 3 GATHERED FOR ONE LAST TIME, WITH THE OGLS AND WE PRESENTED OUR OGLS WITH THE PRESENTS! they were surprised! but at first, they knew that we were hiding something from them, BUT THEY DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS GOING TO BE SO BIG! HAAHA. oh yeah, we made a poster and bought some presents. OH ONE MOST IMPORTANT THING. remember my valentine's date, Nay? haha! i got her a valentine's day card. and trust me, i wasn't even thinking or even looking at it before buying. HAHA. so i gave it to Nay. OH MAN! i know GOT PEOPLE JEALOUS NOW OHHH! ahaha. the card wrote: "my heart belongs to you" AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW. oh well.. then HOME! woo! quite reluctant to wash away the paint on my heart. OH YEAH! I FORGOT TO MENTION ABOUT THAT. there's this art club. so we went to that booth. THEN Nay wrote "I LOVE NAY" & "I LOVE SAB" on my arm. OH YEAH, SAB IS MY ANOTHER OGL NOT ANY OTHER UH! LOL! it's nice hor! oh and Nay's arm also had "I LOVE DAVID" haha! yup. everyone was asking her who was DAVID LOR! ohmygod. then there was this conversation between Nay and Another person.

Person: WHO IS DAVID?
Nay: OH! MY VALENTINE'S DATE! THERE THERE THERE! (points at me -.-)
Person: WHERE?
Nay: THERE, THAT ONE BESIDE THE GIRL! (excited)
Person: HUH? DAVID IS A GIRL?! (in a very shocked manner) HAHA!
Nay: YEAH! hahahahaha.

ya, it was roughly like that. HAHAH! i took pictures of what she painted oh! HAHA. so who want to see!? HEHEH. now it's gone. DUH? because i bathed. yup the day ended like that! SO COOL RIGHT THE ORIENTATION?! if i have the mood, maybe i'll tell you about the previous days. HAHAH! i bet all of you are like going to read this post more than once. BECAUSE I MYSELF FIND THIS VERY INTERESTING EH! haha.

so, next week's the week for lectures (AWW MAN!) IT'S TIME TO START STUDYING! haaha. and tomorrow, i'm going to get my uniform from BIBI & BABA! yes i'm not kidding. HAHA! i'm already missing orientation! YES! I'M SO EXCITED TO WEAR THE MI'S UNIFORM! BECAUSE IT'S SO COOL! NO NEED TUCK IN! haha! just the button thing! YES UH! awesome!
I THINK! THE COMPUTER CANNOT RECEIVE ANYMORE CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET ANYMORE! OH NO!! oh well.. i'm at the third level. that's why..alright! i really have all the atmosphere to write out everything that happened during the orientation. BUT I'M GOING TO SHUT MY EYES VERY SOON! and i'm going to be knocked out soon! falling asleep really! did i mentioned that i put my name down at the basketball booth? oh no, i didn't. but now i did! WOO!

i know it's quite late to talk about the o'ls results. but i'm very happy not because i did well but because i'm improved tremendously. HAHA. want to know about my improvements? HAHA. my english! D7 to B3! poa! D7 to B3! chinese! C6 to B3! science! F9 to C6! combined humanities! F9 to C5! i don't know what more improvements i made. LOL. BUT SEE, IMPROVEMENTS!

i want to thank many people for these improvements really!

1) MY LOVE-S.H.E! without them during this period of time, displaying their humour in videos, i'll be like stressed like crazy. and of course, their songs. perfect harmony.

2) MY PARENTS! for paying for my school fees if not i'll not be able to attend school. for paying tuition fees. so i can improve more. for having strict rules with me. so i won't be led astray for all these years.

3) MY BIG SISTER! for giving me all the last minute teachings. without them, I THINK I'LL FAIL LIKE CRAZY. thanks sister!

4) MY DEAR FRIENDS. NAMELY CCEHWZ. DORIS. SABRINA. 4TOPAZ PEOPLE (FOOLILIN, JESLYNLIMRUIQI, SYAZWANI, ROWENA..ETC). THOSE PEOPLE WHO TAUGHT ME POA BEFORE (LIYUAN, ISABELLE, LINGRONG..ETC).

i'm predicting that my first year of pre-u will be very busy and messy! i'll have to adapt to the new school environment. i'll have to go for officer course! i'll have to manage my time. i'll be joining a new cca! more projects i think? more homework? more things to learn? HAH. that's about it?

you know i have this dumb wish. i want to own this very pair sneakers for a very long time. like even if it tears, i'll use tape to paste it back together. i'm trying to meet this target. REALLY!

i want polo tees leh! another random comment.

i guess i love basketball leh :D i want to play it now! now now now! but too bad, CANNOT! when i mentioned to my parents that i want to join, they all had this weird look on their face. like as if, it's a bad thing. OH WELL. i made up my mind. HAHA. i want to own a jersey!

so, i went to work today. the lion dance troupe came. then woohoo. next was buffet. wa. yummy! then cleared the office and the entire florist! packed fertilisers. stacked fertilisers! print price tags. HAHA! then went home. ate. and using the computer now.

i believe when everyone is down, there is a need to have something, or someone to be there to cheer you up. like i have S.H.E. they really helped me pull through many difficult times. like the o'ls and many more. HAHA! i really love them! I THOUGHT I'M LIKE THEIR MOST LOYAL FAN! BUT LOOKING AT OTHERSI'M JUST A SMALL FRY! hahaha. lame! VERY NAIVE THINKING RIGHT? I KNOW. just a mad fan. but they really made a huge impact in my life. want to say a BIG THANK YOU! woohoooo.

HAHA. then we did many things that cannot be mentioned here! UHH. THOSE PEOPLE UHHH. want to know then ask me lor. the things are quite embarrassing. but this is the only dream without you inside. HEY HO! what's up everyone? MISS ME POSTING RIGHT? ahahhaha.
what happened the past few days. HMM... oh right. isabelle and qianmei came to stay over. A VERY VERY LAST MINUTE DECISION. at 8pm i called qm. EH YOU WANT TO COME AND STAY OVER? ya, that's how last minute it was. then these 2 very nice people. who were suppose to come over and talk to me (ton in short) PANG SEH ME. for 2 hours. i was sitting there ALONE on the chair and those 2 people. slept like @!#$@! HAHA. ya.

so the next day. they went home. and i led a very happy life. and after that. it was another beautiful day again. OH RIGHT. I SUBMITTED MY JAE STUFF. haha. it was totally tikam kind of thing. because i wanted to put jc as a choice. i thought that would have helped. but in the end, i was not applicable for it. (THANKS UH!) so quickly anyhow type other courses. so yup. first 3 choices are MI. and the rest , poly courses. saddening! oh well.

the next day again, i went to work. SAD! haha. but before that, went to take the $150 from school! WOO! for that day, I PLANTED MANY STUFF. WITH MY OWN BARE HANDS! another talent! :D AND I SOLD A POT OF ORCHID, PLANTED BY YOURS TRULY FOR (how much was it?) OH RIGHT, $153! woohoooo.. HAH. sense of accomplishment. and as for today. i sold this money plant, which was needed to be re-potted BY ME AGAIN :D and it was sold for $75.50! WA SEH! what a pro. SO PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PLANT ANYTHING. JUST COME TO ME. BECAUSE I'VE GOT SKILLS :D yes! I'M SO HAPPY. haha.

AND NOW. I'M AT THE OFFICE. i can't believe i spent the night here. WONDERED WHAT TIME I WOKE UP? I WOKE UP AT ABOUT 1 PLUS! hahaha. shiok! my mum, sister tried to wake me up. BUT TOO BAD. my adorable sister. CHIOH PEI XUAN. is damn comical and funny!! HAHAHA. yesterday late in the night we were going home. and then, there was somebody behind the bushes. THEN SHE JUMPED AND HID BEHIND ME. hahahaha! ok then she said "who's that?" in a damn funny way. I LAUGHED LIKE CRAZY LOR! and she always go "don't buy la, so expensive!" when it's NOT at all lor? $2 also expensive. HAHAH! cute sia!

it's the last day of 2008! oh my. time really flies.

while. the year was, brilliant, unforgettable, any word can be used to describe it actually. almost anything and everything happened during the year. knew more people. the people in 4 topaz (especially the girls) bonded more. everyone changed in every aspect. and life also changed a bit. and of course. DURING THIS YEAR. I FOUND MY NEW LOVE. S.H.E! yeah, so the year had many kinds of activities. mistakes were made. promises were broken. love was found. so there's like 8 more hours till 2009! just appreciate the time we left for 2008.

for next year. maybe many people will make the same mistake. to write their dates with the year 2008. BECAUSE THEY'RE JUST NOT USED TO CHANGING. right? haha! saw many people going to popular to get their books. felt a sense of weirdness because i don't have to get any! the day of the results is nearing. and it's going to be a time of tension and anxiety. i have this dream now. that is to become like _. HAHA. ask me yourself if you want to know :D

i want to migrate to Taiwan leh.I KNOW WHAT YOU ALL ARE THINKING. S.H.E RIGHT? wrong! it's because any corner of the country, there'll be a basketball court. what the. imagine. can play basketball AS AND WHEN I WANT. can even play during the wee hours and no one will complain. in singapore. still have curfew. OH WELL! ok la. i got to admit this. it's partly because of my love also :D THEY GET TO SEE THEM WHEN THEY HAVE PROGRAMMES. wa lao eh. they seldom come to singapore. AND THEY'RE COMING NEXT YEAR. to be guests for yoga's concert. Anw, saw Chioh Peishi while working! Lol. SO damn excited! Didn't see her for like SOOOO LONG! I think ever since that day when we pia-ed for our POA. I got all excited and went all the way to hug her. Well, if you know me well, you would be able to imagine my over excited look. Hahahha. So i was like PEISHIIII!!!! And that damn freaking colleague gave me a friend-only-must-like-that-meh look.Crap, i felt so ... dumb aft that. Come to think of it, i doubt i'll get that high when i see her on the streets. But it's like familiar face in your workplace of course will become like that one what. idiot.

i woke up at 1215pm. SHIOK-NESS! been a very long time since i am able to sleep for a long time :D AMAZING! had thousand and one dreams during that long sleep. cannot imagine -.- woke up and watched two jackie chan shows. HAHA HILARIOUS. then the channel 8 one. CAN'T BELIEVE I'M SPENDING MY CHRISTMAS LIKE THAT. hehe. but fortunately, i didn't have to go to work! PHEW! and yes, i'm feeling VERY tired right now.

cousins and everybody came over yesterday. it was raining so didn't get to play soccer or basketball. WISH I CAN PLAY ON SATURDAY. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! so people were all over the house. some hooked to the computer, some to the television and the adults, the mahjong table. I WONDER WHY MY DAD STILL WON'T LET ME LEARN HOW TO PLAY LEH. hahah. so you're bound to win money if you play mahjong with me. was dead tired and dozed off almost immediately after i lied on my bed.

EH EH! I GOT MY PAYCHECK! oh, not from my daddy's company. but from my uncle's. it was for the few days i worked there. GUESS HOW MUCH I GOT. $102 and some coins. haha. obviously i didn't get to keep it. my mum took it away. WA LAO EH! my life's crap right? got own money but get taken away. SIGH! lol. it's ok. as long if i have delicious food for me :D

on the 23rd. worked in the day and met the PEOPLE in the evening. they were all so high! even with some simple card games. was very fun :D been very long since i met them. really very long leh :( hahaha. i can't join them for the countdown (as expected) so have fun guys :D

i'm so super de duper tied. and i don't know why. i've slept for half a day already! parents are home now. gooduhbye.

yes obviously, needless to say.


past 4 days was NCO course. obviously, it was tiring. for the cadets! haha. I'M NOT A CADET YO! I'M A HELPER! :D it was fun being one. but very very very busy and tiring being one. the first day kept shifting stuff upand down. the worst thing was, our bunks and logistic rooms and everything was on the 4th level! so had to go up to 4th flor and down again WHAT THE. really can die. and the venue was canberra secondary. they had this spiral staircase which leads us to the bunks and everything. so imagine running up and down for more than 20 times along that stairs. GIDDY MAN. after going up and down for a few times obviously. and the logistic head. WeiLiang. WAS SO FREAKING DEMANDING. so yeah lor. SIGH! then slept very very late. we had to cook green bean for supper. HAHA. in the end. the cadets had sugar water and uncooked green beans. OH WELL. TOO BAD. not enough time to cook. then slept so late. next day. woke up to cook milo. and prepare breakfast. and the pot we had to cook with was all metal. so obviously the whole pot would be HOT. after the milo was cooked. i took the cover away. ALL THE HOT STEAM GUSHED OUT THROUGH THE HOLE AND TO MY POOR FINGERS. and i didn't let go of the cover, because there'll be alot of commotion. HELD ON TO IT LOR! WHAT THE. i burnt my fingers! swollen n red. haha. and instead, i didn't give it immediate treatment. because had to do other things. no one knew. SAD RIGHT? like that lor. then the advance course went to pulau ubin for their topo. and the standard to macritchie. so from 10 to 12 THE HELPERS COULD SLEEP. so sleep lor. haa. woke up and started to chop wood for the campfire. I TELL YOU. IT'S NOT EASY AT ALL. they are all nailed to each other like glue! REALLY. CAN CUT FATS JUST BY DOING THAT. it's so hard! then the standar came back. served salt water to them. to replenish their water intake obviously. then i forgot what we did. as usual, slept very late again. aitya.

CUT SHORT LA. so lazy. the whole camp is really just about helping and helping. and using alot of energy. at times, i would want to join the cadets and recall what i did for the previous years when i'm in NCO course AS A CADET. from this camp, i found out that the officers, ARE NOT THAT SCARY AFTERALL. can talk to them as if we're friends. AHA. and i saw one mdm. when i was sec 1. in standard course. she was in advance course. so she took my group for her test. FROM THE TIME I SAW HER DURING SEC 1. i thought she was gorgeous. HAHAH. ok sorry :D until now still eh! really! SO LONG ALREADY. until now. she's an officer for zone 5. HAHH. cool man. haha. got one more. ALSO DAMN ZHEN4 know what that means? read it in chinese. the last ying. aiyo. woohooo..

I MISS MY FRIENDS LEH. celine elaine winnie and zijian went out today. i couldn't join them BECAUSE I WAS BROKE. what the. BROKE LEH!? oh well, too bad. hope i can meet them on saturday. please god, let me be allowed to. and on the 23rd as well! i want to meet with EVERYBODY I KNOW LEH! damn it. ok i feel so deprived now.

AFTER EVERYTHING TODAY. I GOT A CONCLUSION. WHEREVER SJAB PEOPLE ARE, THERE'LL ALWAYS BE PEOPLE GOSSIPING ABOUT US. because we are too, active :D haha we were so noisy in seoul garden that the people beside us said we were noisy. then, when we boarded the mrt, we made so much noise that people ket looking at us. what's worse is that we were in the arcade playing some movie thing. AND GERALD AND I SCAREMED LIKE CRAZY! yes, we got all the attention of the people in the arcade. sigh! SO FUNNY! today's an enjoyable day :)

A PACKET OF SWEETS. wa lao.. SO EMBARRASSING. LUCKY DIDN'T WEAR SAME SHIRT. hahaha. they were fighting for A VERY LONG TIME. until we decided to go. saw mavis for a while and went home. I TOLD MY DAD I'LL BE BACK BY 20 MINUTES. AND up till about 40 minutes, i'm still not home yet. haha. so he scolded. he thought i was peddling drugs, with my "gang" somking. SIGH! seriously, will i ever do that? OH WELL.. nvm. my mum found sodium chloride in my bag and she thought it was DRUGS? what the. NVM MAN. i know what i'm doing right? sigh! ok yup.

sunday:
went out early in the morning. to marina i think. ya correct. NO NO. we went to service my dad's car. then marina. THE BLISTER WAS UNBEARABLE. so went to buy slippers. HAHA. we ate breakfast cum lunch at a new japanese restaurant. EXCITING LOR. pictures at my sister's blog. go see yourself. eat and eat LIKE MAD. then went to watch a band concert. then back to the service centre. after that, dinner back at home. HAHA.. then i said, we'll be the best, even better than the best :D SO ENCOURAGING RIGHT? -.- so yup.. then lilin came to know about it. so on tuesday, whilst walking home with her, we talked like nobody's business -.- WE EVEN CAME TO A POINT OF SHARING A HOUSE. but it's really cool if you think about it. like semi-ds. so she'll take one half of the house and i'll take the other. and beween the walls, there'll be doors connecting the two houses. and breaking the wall in betwen to form a common space for our music! COOL RIGHT? but we thought of it with my house's layout. so, YUP. it's so super di-duper fun okk. today was a bit of a difference, i didn't study the whole day, but during the process of time passing, i did learn something. i went to Far East Flora sort of business seminar. (i was the youngest there please -.- ) so, they were talking about the strengths and weaknesses about the company. but of course, i wasn't allowed to say anything, because i'm not in the company yet AND I DON'T HAVE A SAY :( next time, you wait.. just wait... HAHA. yup. so, there were many common thoughts among the staff there (mind the fact that they were all directors and mangers of FEF) most of the people there were known to me. BECAUSE THEY ARE MY RELATIVES DUH.. yup, so it was quite amusing to see the different and serious side of them. even my dad and mum were sort of different. haha. but the people talk, guess what i'm doin, i'm very guai one okk. i was doing my homework, on my ipod. you see, pro mann.. so if you guys take a look at my ipod, you'll see a long long note, a compo. (yet again) yup..PEOPLE THOUGHT THAT I'M OLDER THAN PEIRONG BECAUSE I'M CHUBBIER and the fact that she's shorter.. (waaaa, good man if i'm older than she shall be under my hands :D ) my lovely granduncle whom i used to be very close with when i'm just an ant size, came over and did the same old things. TEST FOR GASES



ammonia gas:
1) place some solid ammonium chloride in the test tube.
2) add dilute sodium hydoxide until the tube is about one-quarter
3) warm the tube gently

gas is colourless, has a pungent smell.

To test for gas. Place a moist red litmus paper over the test tube. If the moist litmus paper turn blue, the gas is ammonia..



carbon dioxide:
1) place small piece of marble in the test tube
2) add dilute hydrochloric acid tll the test tube is about half-full

gas is colourless and odourless.

To test for gas, fit a delivery tube and bubblethe solution with calcium carbonat(limewater). A white precipitate is formed.

chlorine gas:
1) place mark of lead solution in the testtube.
2) add equal volume of dilute hydrochlride acid.

gas is yellowish-green and is pungent.

To test gas, place moist ble litmus paper over the mouth of test tube. The blue litmus will turn red and soon, bleached.

hydrogen:
1) place some zinc powder in the test tube.
2) add dilute hydrochloric acid until test tube is about one-third full.
3) warm the tube gently toproduce a vigorous evolution of gas

the gas is colourless and odourless.

To test gas, hold a burning splint at the mouth of test tube. If gas is present, a "pop" sound will be heard and the flame will be extinguished.

oxygen gas:
1) place hydrogen peroxide solution in test tube until it is about one-third full.
2) add a small amount of magnesium oxide powder. (if necessary, add more powder to prouce a vigorous evolution of gas).

the gas is colourless and odourless.

To test gas, place a lit wooden splint. If gas is present, the lit part will become a burning splint.

sulphur dioxide:
1) place a little sodium sulphite/sulphate.
2) add dilute hydrochloric acid.

the gas is colourless and choking.

To test gas, place one drop of acidified potassium dichromate into the solution on a piece of filter paper. hold the paper above the test tube, the paper of the potassium will turn green.
